...love charity shops

Lamp Shade Project...
Thursday 7th August, 2014
I came across a cute lamp shade and fairy light decoration for a bedroom in a magazine and fell in love with it. So I went out on a mission around some charity shops in search of some lamp shades and guess what I find?! The most adorable matching set of floral mini lamp shades. Then, I came across some fairy lights on Groupon. Look how lush they are, see below. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off and get mine to look as good as the ones in the magazine.

Birthday Garden Picnic
Tuesday 29th July

I had a call from my friend the other day asking if I'd help come up with some ideas for a garden party. Funny enough, I'd just been looking through my Homemakers Magazine that week and read up about how to decorate outside, some of the tips you get, I tell you. I had the idea of laying blankets on the floor with some pillows scattered for people to lean or sit on, with up-cycled jars with pretty colored raffia wrapped round them to dot around the garden along with some lanterns for that extra touch. Here's what I found in the charity shops on yet another lunch break. Please, if you haven't already checked out my page; ladies who...refurbish & craft go see what I plan to do with the jars x

Pink blanket was a little more than what I
would have liked to have paid, but was still only £8.99.
Huge pillow was £4 and the two smaller pillows were £1 each!!!
This pretty little floral blanket was only £1.99!
I got 3 jars in total for £1!!!
I will be sure to post photos of the birthday party! Lets just hope this weather lasts until 3rd August :-s
